First KL Selangor 'Save our Environment' Drawing Competition
Jointly organised by KKDS, KL and Central Malaya Paper Sdn Bhd - March 2006
Nearly 200 children and adults took part in the first KL Selangor 'Save our Environment' Drawing Competition. The event took place on 25 March at the Karma Kagyu Dharma Society, Kuala Lumpur. The participation was quite overwhelming, with attendance particularly strong from the Confucian Secondary School, including one busload of over 40 students who were accompanied by their teacher.
Those taking part were divided up into four categories:
| Group A | 3 – 7 yrs |
| Group B | 8 – 12 yrs |
| Group C | 13 – 18 yrs |
| Group D | > 18 yrs |
Judging was carried out by distinguished and qualified art teachers - Mr Joe Chee and Mr Lim Kok Ming.
Three levels of prizes were awarded:
| Excellence Award | 5 per group | Gold Pewter Medal |
| Merit Award | 5 per group | Silver Pewter Medal |
| Qualified Award | 10 per group | Souvenirs |
Main sponsor of the event was Central Malaya Paper Sdn Bhd, who are a subsidiary of the public listed company - Muda Holdings Berhad.
