We are happy to inform that Venerable Acharya Khenpo Ramesh will be in our Centre again to deliver teachings on Gampopa's "JEWEL ORNAMENT OF LIBERATION" from 12th to 18th June, 8.00 pm nightly.
Below is a brief biography of Ven Acharya Khenpo Ramesh.
Venerable Acharya Khenpo Ramesh is one of the most accomplished scholars of the Kagyu Lineage. It is indeed very fortunate of us to be able to receive teachings from him. So, do not miss this precious opportunity!

Brief Biography of Ven. Acharya Khenpo Ramesh

Khenpo Ramesh was born in 1963 at Kinnaur, Northern India. He left home at seventeen and spent seven years in Tashi Jong Monastery to study Buddhist philosophy and Tantric ritual practices. Thereafter, he stayed one year in Sanskrit University in Varanasi to further his Buddhist practices and attained proficiency in the Sanskrit language. He spent another thirteen years at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (Tibetan University) in Varanasi and received extensive Mahamudra teachings from Khenpo Tsultrim Gyatso and Dzogchen teachings from Khenpo Palden Sherab.
After graduation as a Khenpo, Khenpo Ramesh taught Sanskrit and the Dharma to the students at the Tibetan University. He also travelled extensively throughout Nepal and India, giving teachings to the Sanghas and developed a wide experience in teaching the Dharma. He did a research on the Heart Sutra in Sanskrit, Tibetan and Hindi languages and in 2003, obtained his PhD in Buddhist Philosophy on the Heart Sutra from the Tibetan University.
Prior to this achievement, Khenpo Ramesh resided and taught in a Ningmapa Monastery in Sarnath for about two years. During his vacations, he traveled to Pokhara to teach Buddhist Philosophy to the student monks at the Vikramashila Institute and Jangchub Choeling Monastery. In 2004, the Abbot, Venerable Shangpa Rinpoche appointed him as the principle Khenpo of the newly established Kagyu Institute for Buddhist Studies (KIBS) in Kirtipur. Khenpo Ramesh has been invited regularly to the Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centres in Singapore and Malaysia to give teachings. He has the ability to convey the essence of difficult and complex teachings in a simple and approachable manner to the audience.
