Wesak Week - Lamas from Ladakh

Ven. Tsultrim Rinpoche visit
We have received news that a group of Lamas from Ladakh have accepted our invitation to visit our centre to celebrate Wesak this year.
The group consists of Ven. Tsultrim Rinpoche (making his third visit to our centre), Ven. Chimey Rinpoche (8 years old), Rinpoche's attendant and 3 other lamas (names to be supplied later).
Their arrival is scheduled between 8th - 10th May and they will be at the KL centre until 31st May. We have planned for a 3-day Grand Jambhala Puja at the end of May, which will feature Jambhala vases.

In conjunction with Cheng Ming, KKDS KL will organize 2 puja sessions of Amitabha Chang Chuk (Chang Chog) specially dedicated to the deceased. This is open for sponsorship at RM10/- per deceased name and RM20/- for ancestors.
Visit by Her Eminence Jetsun Kushok : 27 March 2008

Visit by Her Eminence Jetsun Kushok, the Sakya Lineage's foremost Female Rinpoche, and elder sister of HH Sakya Trizin. Her Eminence will give blessing to devotees at our center.

Re-cycling Campaign for Charity

Sunday, 16 Dec 2007
Launching of this campaign will be on Sunday, 16th December, and will continue to the end of the year. You can bring to the center your old newspapers, cardboards, plastic containers and tin cans. We are working hand in hand with a company and there will be different bins for your disposal. All proceeds will go to charitable organisations for the sick and the needy. The list will be posted on our Notice Board at the conclusion of the campaign. We hope you can join us for this worthy cause.
Blood Donation Day

This is also one of our yearly programs to help those in need of blood. It is also a means to develop one's compassion and generosity by donating our own blood. The staff of Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Center, K.L.) will be here to set up the facilities and render assistance starting from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. As Buddhists, this is one simple act of charity that we can perform for the benefit of sentient beings. Please register with the center nearer the time.

HH17 Karmapa, Thaye Dorje is visiting KKDS, KL Centre

We are very happy to announce the visit to our new centre of
His Holiness 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje. His Holiness will preside
over the official Opening Ceremony and many other Dharma Activities during
his one week stay in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This is a very rare opportunity
to spend time with the head of the Karma Kagyu lineage and receive empowerments.

30th Anniversary Celebrations and Opening Ceremony

To coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the Karma Kagyu Dharma Society,
we will be holding a Grand Opening Ceremony. Each month there will be
a whole series of major events at the centre leading up to the ceremonies
in October. Several of those events have already successfully taken place,
such as the Art Competition and Mahakala Puja with Beru Khyentse Rinpoche.
Jang Chog (Chang Chog) Puja

An upcoming series of Jang Chog events hosted by our centre, and led by Ven. Shi Ching Fa Shi, and Ven. Shi Jing Fa Shi. The events will
consist of Ksitigarbha pujas, Ullambana pujas, Dharma teachings on the Filial Piety Sutra and others, offerings to the
Hungry Ghosts and Transmission of the 5 Precepts to the Deceased.
